You choose your people's leaders from all trades and from all lands.
Like Jeremiah you equip them to fulfill your plans.
The needs you show us are so great. They make us feel so small.
Give courage to your prophets here, as we live out your call.

Your angel came to Mary, bearing awe-inspiring news.
Despite the pounding of her heart, she said, "Lord, as you choose!"
When we believe, you do great things. When doubt prevails, we fall.
God, give us faith to follow you, as we live out your call.

You called to Paul, he heard your voice, and you transformed his views.
He preached your gospel ev'rywhere to Gentiles and to Jews.
Could persecution, jail or death ever dishearten Paul?
Lord, make your good news our great joy, as we live out your call.
