Steve's Hymns:

"As We Live Out Your Call" (words with music)
This hymn, which draws from the lives of four great servants of God, asks God for the thing we need to be faithful leaders who are still followers of Jesus Christ. Originally written for San Francisco Theologically seminary, it was first sung at the baccalaureate service there on May 23, 2003.

"When Evening Fell Beside the Sea " (words with music)
Based on Mark 4:35-40, this hymn recounts the trip Jesus' disciples took with him across the stormy sea.

New Verses to Contemporary Worship Songs:

"Open Our Eyes, Lord" (second verse)
Steve wrote this new verse for a well-known song for Ygnacio Valley Presbyterian Church in Concord, California. The idea was to balance our love for Jesus Christ with the love he called us to show for our neighbors.

"As the Deer" (replacements for verses 2 and 3)
These verses, which replace the original verses two and three, better follow the text of Psalm 42 and may be more appropriate than the original verses in some contexts. They were written for Redwoods Presbyterian Church in Larkspur, California.
